Picnic Shelter #2 at Red Rock Canyon State
Park, which OMC has reserved, will be available all day from 9:00 a.m.
Hamburgers and hot dogs (provided by OMC)
will be ready for lunch about 1:00 p.m.
A cruise of Mustangs to the park will begin
at 11:00 a.m. from exit 136 on I-40 (Garth Brooks Boulevard in Yukon).
Those who want to join the cruise should be at Wal-Mart parking lot on
north side of I-40 ready to leave at 11:00.
The exit to the park is Hinton exit 101 and park entrance is 5 miles
south on Highway 281. Cruise to park
will take about an hour.
All you need to bring to the picnic are your
chairs, what you want to drink, your favorite side dish to share, and camera. [Mustangs
are great for the cruise, but if you are bringing a bunch of people and/or a
bunch of food, feel free to bring your SUV, pickup, RV or bus – just be sure
to let us know how many people you are bringing so that we will have enough
hamburgers and hot dogs ready!]
Attached is information about the park --
including that there are available hiking trails, fishing pond and a small
playground for young children at our reserved picnic area.
It will be helpful to know by Monday,
October 5, how many from your club plan to attend.
Hope to see you on the 10th of
October!
